SUMMARY:Study Skills Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Just in time for mid-terms – turn “studying” into “learning”! \nThis workshop is aimed at high school students\, but appropriate for students in grades 7 and 8 (and their parents!). \nPresented by Shannon Materka\, a Study Skills Support specialist at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School\, topics will range from proper highlighting techniques to how your brain processes new information and decides whether or not to keep it. Registration is not required but would be helpful for planning purposes. DESCRIPTION:The Clapp Memorial Library is offering Teen Study Hours for Belchertown High School students during their exam week. \nTeen Study Hours will be held Monday\, January 20th from 4:00-8:00PM\, Tuesday the 21st\, from 7:00-9:00PM\, and Wednesday the 22nd\, from 7:00-9:00PM. \nThese special hours are just for BHS students. There will be free pizza\, drinks\, Wi-Fi\, computers\, study tables\, and tutors available. \nStudents looking to meet with a tutor are required to sign up by Saturday the 18th at 1:00PM. \nPlease call the library at (413) 323-0417 for more information. \nThe library is committed to being a quiet\, stress-free space for students to use during Teen Study Hours.
