DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Getting Ready for Kindergarten\, Summer 2026\n9:30-10:30 AM\, Wednesday\, July 8th – August 12th\nSign up here: https://forms.gle/KmH8CD6czH3aCRiR8 \nChildren who will start Kindergarten in the fall will attend this storytime program on their own. We will read stories\, sing songs and talk about what school will be like and the different feelings they may have while practicing skills such as listening\, taking turns\, cooperating\, using scissors and rhyming. Caregivers will not stay in the Activity Room but do need to remain on Library property. We encourage all children to also register for Plant A Seed\, Read!\, our summer reading program. \nRegistration and confirmation required. Registration open until all slots are filled. If the program is full you will be placed on a wait list. Confirmations and program information will be sent out ahead of the program start.

SUMMARY:Carrie Ferguson and The Grumpytime Club
DESCRIPTION:Put on your dancing shoes and come sign and dance with us. The Grumpytime Club offers children and families welcoming and inclusive messages about accepting feelings\, celebrating differences\, and loving ourselves exactly as we are. \nAs a queer and gender queer artist\, Carrie learned that inner strength derives from knowing\, accepting\, and loving yourself. They also learned how important it is to use that strength to celebrate and show up for other people and the world in general. No registration required. This event will take place on the Library lawn. Bring chairs\, water\, bug spray\, and blankets.  In case of rain\, it will be moved to the Town Hall Auditorium. \nFunded in part by The Belchertown Cultural Council\, a local agency funded by Mass Cultural Council\, a state agency\, and by the Friends of the Clapp Memorial Library and Library sponsors.
