DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Getting Ready for Kindergarten\, Summer 2026\n9:30-10:30 AM\, Wednesday\, July 8th – August 12th\nSign up here: https://forms.gle/KmH8CD6czH3aCRiR8 \nChildren who will start Kindergarten in the fall will attend this storytime program on their own. We will read stories\, sing songs and talk about what school will be like and the different feelings they may have while practicing skills such as listening\, taking turns\, cooperating\, using scissors and rhyming. Caregivers will not stay in the Activity Room but do need to remain on Library property. We encourage all children to also register for Plant A Seed\, Read!\, our summer reading program. \nRegistration and confirmation required. Registration open until all slots are filled. If the program is full you will be placed on a wait list. Confirmations and program information will be sent out ahead of the program start.

SUMMARY:The Curious Giraffe Show
DESCRIPTION:Join us at 6PM on in the Town Hall Auditorium for an interactive show with local author\, Dorothy Cresswell. Through songs and stories\, children will learn about animals and be part of discussions about diversity\, welcoming one and all\, and recognizing the wonder in the world. \n\n  \nFollowing the show\, the Odyssey Bookshop will have a table available for families to purchase Dorothy’s book and have them signed. \nDorothy Cresswell is a Nationally Board Certified Early Childhood teacher. She taught preschool through third grade in Massachusetts public schools and private day care centers for over thirty years. In “retirement” Dorothy enjoyed creating 75 “Curious Giraffe Shows” which kept her exploring how children think about our diverse and challenging world. \nThe Curious Giraffe Show is part of our Summer Reading Program\, Plant a Seed\, Read!  Join in on Summer Reading fun at https://clapplibrary.beanstack.org/ or through the beanstack app.
