SUMMARY:We're Going on a Twos Hunt!
DESCRIPTION:The Clapp Memorial Library invites you to explore two of Belchertown’s Conservation Areas and search for 2s! \nMany children will be on school break on “Twosday”\, 2-22-22 and we love numbers and nature almost as much as books. \nEveryone is welcome to explore both or one of the scavenger hunt trails. Find 2s on the trees as you hike. Can you find all 22 of them? Take a photo (or draw a picture) of at least one of the 2s and then visit the library to pick up a prize or TWO (while supplies last). \nThe hunts will be at the Reed Conservation Area at 87 Gold Street and the Meadows Conservation Area on Catherine Drive\, off of Bay Road. \nThere is parking available at both locations. \nThe hunts will be up from February 20th until February 26th. \nPlease DO NOT remove any of the 2s. \nThe object is to find 22 twos at each trail but don’t worry if you can’t find them all or make it to each trail. Do your best and then visit the Clapp Memorial Library\, starting 2-22-22\, and tell us about your hike. Prizes will be available all week or until supplies last. Meetings will be hosted by Jennifer Whitehead (Head of Youth Services)\, and Camryn Scoon (Upcoming 9th-grader/lover of books). Our first meeting will be on June 22nd at 4:00 PM at the Clapp Memorial Library. \njwhitehead@cwmars.org\n413-323-0417 \nThe first meeting will be an introduction to what we will be doing in the club and a lesson in bookmark making! As members of the club\, we will be reading diverse books (provided by the library) and then coming together for a meeting on the fourth Wednesday of every month. After talking about the book\, we will use our new knowledge from the stories in order to help our community. Actions will be tasks such as making toys for shelter animals and creating cards for kids in hospitals. Members will also learn leadership and activism skills they can then apply to their own lives. We are looking for creative kids who want to create a positive change in our world\, no matter how small.

DESCRIPTION:10:00-10:45 am\, Tuesdays\, July 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, 26th\, Aug 2nd & 9th \nLittle Explorers Story Time is for children 2 years old\, and begins @ 10:00 AM. Registration is required. Our story times feature age-appropriate stories\, songs\, finger plays and art activities. Program will take place on the Library lawn\, weather allowing\, families need to bring chairs/blankets and water\, sunscreen\, and bug repellant are suggested. \nRegistration (click here) and confirmation required.
