What is the optimal amount of time to spend studying? \nGet the answers to these questions and more at the “Turn Studying into Learning” workshop at the Clapp Memorial Library. We’ll discuss everything from how to highlight properly to how your brain processes new information and decides whether or not to keep it. \nPresented by Shannon Materka\, a Study Skills Support teacher at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School\, this workshop is aimed at high school students (and their parents if they’re interested!). DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION REQUIRED \nCheck out cool technology at the Clapp Memorial Library – Ages 10-17! \nSaturday\, July 21st\, 1:30-3:30 \nSee\, learn\, and use some of the coolest new tech out there including a 3D Printer\, 3D Design software\, 3D Scanning\, 3Doodler\, Ozobots\, Little Bits Electronics\, and Sphero.  Participants will learn how to create and print 3D objects.  Everyone gets a 3D print\, but there will not be time to complete them all during the workshop so you can return to the library at a later date to pick yours up.  Participants can bring their own laptops or use the ones provided. \nThis program is supported in part by a grant from the Belchertown Cultural Council\, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council\, a state agency.
