DESCRIPTION:Clapp Memorial Library is offering an eight-week Stress Reduction Awareness course led by Magda Bechar\, starting on Monday\, October 21st. \nMindfulness meditation skills teach us to be fully present in the moment and\, when practiced regularly\, helps decrease stress levels and improve general well-being and health. Skills covered in the course are gentle and free of judgment. \nBecause the course has been very popular since its start at the library\, we ask that you register only if you are able to attend all sessions. There will be no class on Monday\, November 11th\, Veterans Day. Please register in person. \nThe course is open to Belchertown residents. \nMagda Bechar\, a retired nursing professor\, has taught mindfulness meditation skills to many groups including the ones at the Clapp Memorial Library.

DESCRIPTION:Calling all young writers\, poets\, playwrights\, and novelists! Once again the Clapp Memorial Library is opening its doors to young and aspiring writers during National Novel Writing Month.  The library will host a weekly writing program for teens in grades 7-12 throughout the month of November. DESCRIPTION:Tis the season – for learning how to use new technology! \nNew tablets and devices often show up around this time of year\, whether as a present or taking advantage of a sale.  Even better – we have a whole range of offerings that you can access on a new phone or tablet such as streaming movies\, music\, and books! \nStop by for drop-in assistance on the 27th and 30th from 11am-12pm\, or schedule an appointment with Tegan for help at other times! \nWe can’t find the answer to everything\, and certainly cannot handle things a Nest or configuring Smart Home technology that need to be set up at home.  But Tegan will field questions and try to untangle confusion! \nA quick reminder from of our Technology Help Policy: the Technology Librarian cannot perform computer repair tasks\, nor can they handle personal or private information.
