DESCRIPTION:Ed Orzechowski will discuss and read from his new book “You’ll Like it Here: Donald Vitkus– Belchertown Patient #3394”. \nDonald Vitkus was given up for adoption at 27 days old. After bouncing between foster homes\, he was sent to the Belchertown State School at age 6. Labeled a “moron”\, he was not allowed to leave school grounds. At age 17\, he moved to a Catholic orphanage in Springfield\, eventually joined the army\, married and had children. This book is the story of his life. On March 29\, Orzechowski will read from the book and will discuss how he came to write it\, working closely with Mr. Vitkus. \n
