SUMMARY:From Russia with Love\, Music and Dance
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is invited to enjoy music and dancing with Barynya on the front lawn of the Clapp Memorial Library. All ages welcome. Please bring your own blankets and chairs. No dogs allowed. \nThe Russian music\, dance and song ensemble Barynya (Russian: Барыня)\, established in the year 1991\, is a world renowned group that enjoys stature as the premier Russian folk ensemble. Under direction of artistic director/founder Mikhail Smirnov\, Barynya has become the most requested Russian dance and music show outside of Mother Russia. Their traditional dancing\, music\, songs\, and virtuoso performances on instruments including the balalaika\, balalaika-contrabass\, garmoshka (Russian folk button accordion) have entertained people around the world. Mikhail Smirnov was invited as one of the eight judges on NBC’s hit dance show\, “Superstars of Dance”. \nThis event is funded by McCarthy’s Pub. At their fundraising event earlier this year\, Mr. Dick Bonnayer won a raffle and picked the CML to provide a fun event for all ages.

DESCRIPTION:Summer Reading Finale! \nMeet and learn about a variety of exotic animals from around the world in this extremely fun & interactive program! No registration required but children and teens should be registered for our summer reading programs. This event will be on the Library lawn so please bring chairs and blankets. Children who qualify for a free t-shirt and book should arrive between 5:15 pm and 5:45 pm to pick theirs out. Shirts and books will be available after the show\, too.
