Yes, we now have a 4.5 inch Orion Starblast Telescope thanks to the Friends of the Library. Members of the Aldrich Astronomical Society will visit the Library on Tuesday, June 27 at 7:30 to introduce the telescope, demonstrate its use, and teach folks how to observe objects using a technique called star-hopping. Weather permitting,  outdoor observing will take place at 8:30. Spacey door prizes too! This telescope will be available for borrowing by Clapp Memorial Library cardholders over 18 years of age.
