Annual Appeal

Please consider donating to the Clapp Memorial Library Annual Appeal (click here to read our 2026 Annual Appeal Letter). Donate online or mail in a donation with this slip.

The Trustees of the Clapp Memorial Library hold an Annual Appeal each year to raise funds to address essential building maintenance and repairs, and to maintain the functional integrity of the building. We are truly appreciative for the financial support we receive from the Town and the Friends of the Library. Your support is essential this year as the Friends will not be holding book sales this year as we work to renovate the basement to be safe and accessible to everyone. Generous donations from our community allow us to maintain our historic building and provide the programs and services on which Belchertown residents rely. The Library serves Belchertown and the surrounding area, offering connection, community, programs, and services for all ages. We strive to be a welcoming, accessible, and useful space for everyone in our community.

Your generosity has allowed us to make many improvements to the building including replacing our handicap accessible door, creating seating and play space in the children’s area, and installing an automatic door opener on our inner door to make the entranceway more accessible. We have also been able to make the side entrance safer for everyone and complete restoration work on the south facing stained glass window.

Thank you so much for supporting our Annual Appeal. Your investment in the Library helps ensure that our small but impressive building will remain exactly where it belongs for years to come — at the center of our community.
