Midterms are around the corner and you know you should be studying for them, but how? What are the most effective ways to learn the material? What is the optimal amount of time to spend studying?
Get the answers to these questions and more at the “Turn Studying into Learning” workshop at the Clapp Memorial Library. We’ll discuss everything from how to highlight properly to how your brain processes new information and decides whether or not to keep it.
Presented by Shannon Materka, a Study Skills Support teacher at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School, this workshop is aimed at high school students (and their parents if they’re interested!). It will be held on Wednesday, January 16 from 5:30 – 6:30pm.
Registration is not required but it would be helpful for planning purposes. Please call the Clapp Library at 323-0417 to sign up or for more information.
