Book Discussion Groups – Teens & Kids
Teen Book Club
The Clapp Memorial Library is starting a book club for teens in grades 7-12! This Teen Book Club will be in conjunction with the MA Teen Choice Book Awards (MTCBA), the only book award in the state selected by teens. Each month teens will read and discuss one book from the nominee list. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library’s circulation desk and on the hoopla app. Snacks will be provided at the meeting.
Teens interested in joining the Teen Book Club run by the library should email the Teen Events Coordinator at [email protected]

As members of the club, we will be reading diverse books (provided by the library) and then coming together for a meeting on the fourth Wednesday of every month. After talking about the book, we will use our new knowledge from the stories in order to help our community. Actions will be tasks such as making toys for shelter animals and creating cards for kids in hospitals. Members will also learn leadership and activism skills they can then apply to their own lives. We are looking for creative kids who want to create a positive change in our world, no matter how small.
