Calling all paleontologists!  Take home a kit to learn all about fossils with real scientists. Each kit of materials includes a replica fossil, 5 real fossils that are millions of years old, and a video to guide you through several fun activities. We’ll learn about how scientists study fossils, what they can teach us, how they form, how they might relate to plants and animals today, and more! Fossils are fun!  Recommended for ages 6-12. This program is with the scientists at Science & Engineering Education Development (SEED), Inc.

Visit the Clapp Memorial Library on Thursday, June 17th from 9am to 11 am or 4 pm—5:30 pm (or while supplies last) to pick up your fossils kit.  Children must be registered for Tails and Tales, our summer reading program.  The pickup will be outside at the side entrance of the Library.  If you wish to browse the Library, you must call to schedule an appointment, 323-0417.  This program is supported in part by a grant from the Belchertown Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
