The Clapp Memorial Library invites all film buffs for Out of the Shadows: Hollywood’s History with the LGBTQ+ Community by film historian Frank Mandosa. On Wednesday, June 14 at 7PM, Mandosa will take a look at LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream film, both onscreen and off. Over the past century, Hollywood has had a troubled history with both onscreen depictions of the LGBTQ+ community and their real-life interactions. This program explores not only the ongoing evolution of this dynamic before, during, and after the cameras roll, but also the portrayals of the LGBTQ+ community in films of all genres, both past and present.
